New 16" MBP does NOT come with a power cord!!

I just paid nearly 3 grand for the latest 16" MacBook Pro and was incensed to find out it didn't come with the usual power extension cord that can be plugged into the power brick. I can't connect it to an outlet at my desk because:

  1. The brick won't fit into the recessed outlet I have access to.
  2. The outlet is too far away and I need the extension cord.

I'm utterly dumbfounded this has been left out! Somebody needs to find the marketing person at Apple who thought he'd do the company proud by doing this inexcusable and customer insulting thing! On the off-chance that this was Apple trying to save the environment (or whatever), they should, at the very least, make one available for free to anybody who wants one and can prove they just purchased a new laptop.

Thanks - I guess I never took notice of any new MacBook Pro sold since 2015 because I couldn't tolerate that butterfly keyboard. I'm just so ticked I have to resort to driving almost 20 miles each way to an Apple Store and shell out another $20 just so I can have the privilege of actually using the most expensive laptop on the planet! This is not about the money, it's the principle.

Sigh, EVERYBODY at work is going to gleefully relish rubbing my nose in it when I tell them what I have to do now after having done handstands to justify the purchase of this thing :-(.

Thanks - I didn't know the power cord already came with shipping already included in the price so that's how I'll buy it then.

Regarding item 1, as embarrassing as it'll be for me, I will tell them. It'll only be a tiny drop in the bucket, but it'll add to the groundswell of resentment so many people have for a hugely profitable company like Apple when they treat their customers this way. This is the 17th Apple laptop I've purchased in my lifetime and this act of pettiness crossed the line with me.

I know this thread is kind of useless and unhelpful to people trying to get their problems solved. Sorry for venting. I expect a moderator will just silently delete this whole thing before too long.
