iPhone 11 Pro Screen black crush / smudging

When I am on dark theme and the brightness is turned down below 25% I notice that there is an issue with my display. As I scroll the screen is displaying pure black items among non black items (such as the dividers in the Settings app) those black items become smudged during scrolling and show some ghosting. Apparently this effect is called "black crush". Does anyone else experience this? Should I take my phone back to the Apple store?
