I changed my Apple ID on my iPhone plus, but my old ID still shows on my phone. How do I change that?

If necessary, if you are the original owner, take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store.

I did follow that and when I try to sign out of my old ID, it says no such Apple ID.
