It doesn’t play the sound when my AirPods are in the case. They only play sound when they are not in the case. It wasn’t like this before I updated to iOS 13
Sometimes I can’t find my AirPods within the case, I just played the sound and the pods would ring loudly in the case. But since I updated to iOS 13, they only play sounds when they are not in the case. That’s not convenient.
