"i" on iphone keypad not working

"i" on iphone keypad not working

My letter "i" is not working on my iphone 11keypad. Also number 8 if using numerical keyboard.

Letter 'i' does work when phone rotated lengthways but once righted it does not.

Nery frustrating...any ideas on how to fix?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand certain keys aren't working with the keyboard on the iPhone. I'll gladly help in any way I can.

If possible, try a different keyboard or app and then tap the same areas.

- If it's only happening with the built-in keyboard or all keyboards, try restarting the iPhone: Restart your iPhone
- If it's happening with a third-party keyboard, remove it and install it again: Remove apps from iPhone
- If the same area is affected in all apps and areas, check the display of the iPhone and try these steps: Get help with the display on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
