Can you freeze 1st column in Numbers for iOS with keyboard showing?

I have a spreadsheet in Numbers for iPhone (XS). Created on Mac. It is set to freeze column 1 so it is always visible.

This works great on the phone except when I pop up the keyboard to enter data. Then column 1 disappears.

See screenshots. As soon as I pop up the keyboard, column 1 disappears. Mildly annoying - have to cancel it each time to make sure I'm entering data in correct row! Is there any way to keep column 1 visible while I'm entering data with keyboard?

Without keyboard, column 1 visible:

With keyboard, column 1 disappears:

Hi Charlie,

I have not found a way to do that. It doesn't come up much because I use Forms. Forms make it easy to enter data row by row.

I am going to assume you are entering data on the first of the month for each person.

With that the case, I suggest transposing your table so the dates are in Column A and the names are in Row 1. This is easy to do; it is a table action. Numbers will adjust formulas in other tables as needed.

Here is a Form based on my transposed table:

For each date, I can easily scroll to the name I need to enter data for. I have the cells formatted as numbers so the number keyboard shows.

Hope this will work for you.
