Will the MBAir 2012 support AirPods?

My wife's 2012 MBAir has Catalina 10.15.1. The AirPod list does not list her MBAir as supporting it. According to # 2 below, her MBAir WILL support the AirPods.

(Your AirPods Pro can connect automatically with your Mac that uses macOS Catalina 10.15.1 or later. Your AirPods (2nd generation) can connect automatically with your Mac that uses macOS Mojave 10.14.4 or later. Your AirPods (1st generation) can connect automatically with your Mac that uses macOS Sierra or later.)

Anyone have a correct answer for this? She would like a pair of AirPods for Christmas.

You do not specify which model Airpods.

Here is a link to the compatibility chart that threw me off:

Scroll down to "Compatibility" and open it. Under MBAir, it only lists from "2015". I do think that is in error!

Good catch. Something is in error. Can't tell you which one though. Maybe call Apple to double-check.

It is the 13 inch late 2012 model. I am away from home at the moment, so I don't have the specific model other than the "late 2102, 13" model. 4g RAM 512drive.
