After the last update to Pages I can't open any old or save any new Pages. For instance when I try and save a new document, I get an error that says "Untitled can't be opened now. Pages couldn't read the file."

Here are some basic trouble-shooting processes, which have been reported to be successful in solving thie issue described.
This restarts the Mac into Safe Mode. The startup takes longer as additional cleanup routines are run compared to a normal startup. You'll also notice a degradation in video performance.

I have the same problem. I have to pretend to share it with someone. Then it will allow me to export it and it saves to my documents. Hope this helps in the meantime before they fix the issue.
I also have this problem, except I have 2 iPads. My old mini still allows me to see my many documents, but my new one doesn’t allow me to open anything. Not any of my documents or even creating a new one. There’s something going on.
Same here. Makes Pages unusable for me. Super annoyingly.
Each of you, in the threads of this post, have the ability to send direct feedback to the Pages Product team from the Pages application menu.
Happens to me often these days. I have to force quit Pages and cross my fingers that I had been saving often before this happened.
