Backing up an Apple Watch
How does this happen? Do I need to do anything to make a backup happen? Yea . . . new user here!!!

Your Apple Watch will atomically backup at the same time as your iPhone. They pretty much share the same backup. For more information, see this link: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204518
