iPhone 11 Pro Max Battery Capacity at 99%

So my iPhone 11 Pro Max is almost 2 months old and I literally bought it a week after it was released. I checked the battery capacity today and I noticed that it was at 99%. This is a bit strange because my iPhone XS Max didn’t drop to 99% even 5 months into using it.

Has anyone else also faced this issue?

That might be your problem. It is impossible to overcharge an iPhone, because the phone stops charging at 100%. You can undercharge it however, if you try to outsmart the sophisticated battery management already built in to the phone.

That aside, battery health is not measured in months, it's measured in full charge cycles (e.g., charging 0-100% or 50% - 100% twice of 75% to 100% 4 times, etc). The phone is expected to remain above 80% health through 500 charge cycles. but it doesn't stay at 100% for 499 charge cycles, then drop to 80% on the next cycle. It decreases relatively linearly. So when it reaches 90% it will have been full-charged roughly 250 times. At 99% roughly 25 full charge cycles.
