I want to remove Apple Pay from my phone because now everytime I try to pay with my sonic app it asks me for Apple Pay .

That will not stop the NFC field from activating. Did you add the Sonic app to Wallet? You can go to settings>Touch ID & Passcode>turn of Wallet for lock screen to see if that helps.
I already had the sonic app ..And only used the Apple Pay because I was somewhere that I had to use Apple Pay ..that’s the only reason I got it ..Now I have no use for it
