Do I need antivirus software on my MAC or other apple devices?

In short no you do not need antivirus software on your Mac. Nor do you need cleaning apps or ANY other third party "maintenance" apps. If you simply keep your Mac up-to-date and otherwise left alone it will run fine for years. Use a bit of common sense too, meaning do not download anything from a site you do not know or trust. Do not use a torrent to download apps you did not pay for, do not fall for scams. Apple explains some common scams in Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams
