Depends on the crack. If it was from an accident such as a drop or being sat on, then no. If it's from a spontaneous crack (typically a single hairline fracture with no impact evidence along the frame or missing bits of glass) then maybe there's a chance. But accidental damage is never covered by the warranty.

No way. That looks like it was dropped. On top of that, you didn't mention that it was the case back. That's strictly handled by Apple as a complete service replacement. For an iPhone X in the US that's $549 for any capacity. Prices may be different in other countries and/or where an Apple Authorized Service Provider handles the service.

You don't have to. For the most part that damage is cosmetic, although it does affect the water resistance. If everything else is working you can just cover up the cracks with a case and it should still work fine.
