Apple TV remote swollen

So I bought 2 Apple TV’s and I noticed the top portion where I press down was harder than usual. Turns out the battery in both remotes are swollen and I can’t press down due to the top of remote being curved so the button is already pressed down!

APPLE TV REMOTE IS NOT FUNCTIONAL MY REMOTE IS NOT FUNCTIONING. IT NEVER HAS SINCE I TOOK IT OUT OF THE BOX AND STARTED CHARGING IT UP. THE PAD AT THE TOP IS NOT WORKING
