iPhone Xr cannot find air drop on my mac

My new iphone Xr will not find air drop on my macbook pro, early 2015 Retina. I have restarted both, I have set bluetooth off and on and I have check that air drop is clicked on my phone. My macbook says it is available for everyone. Anybody?

It is working now. I kept shutting off and turning back on the phone and the macbook and something finally worked. This is not the first time it has happened though.
