MacBook Boots to Screen with Mouse

Hello,

My MacBook was working normally and I went to boot up up at the normal login screen and it was frozen. I restarted and again frozen at login screen. I rebooted a second time and now it's booting to a screen that alternates between a mouse (indicating to slide a green mouse power switch on) and a MacBook (also indicating to slide a green power switch on the side of the computer). I've tried to reset numerous times with no luck. I've never used an external mouse or keyboard with this computer and always have used the built-in trackpad. It's updated to the newest software I believe, Catalina" maybe?

Any ideas?

The few times I have read about this, the interpretation seemed to be that the computer lost track of its keyboard and/or trackpad. If you have an external keyboard and mouse, you might try it. You might also try the standard troubleshooting steps

Reset NVRAM and PRAM, Resetting the System Management Controller, starting up in Safe Mode . Otherwise, I would take it to an authorized service place.
