How to recover a deleted excel file on iPad

I have accidentally deleted an excel file from my iPad Pro (3rd gen) and would like to know if there is a way to recover it. Strangely enough, when I tap on the excel icon, I get the name of the file that I then choose to open. This produces an error message “cant open file - something went wrong .....”

As it is a very important file, I would be happy for any help on the matter.

Thanks

iPad Pro, iOS 13

Hello,

If your document was stored in Files you could try looking in the Recently Deleted pane within Files.
