Turn Time Capsule 3tb into a NAS
So I have a Time Capsule with a 3 tb HDD and I'm using it as a router and a network storage. So my question is, can I change the settings so I can access it from another network like for example from work?

You need a Static IP address unless you want to try a very complicated process.

I recommend method #3. Method #1 is no longer supported by Apple.
Please keep in mind that some Internet Service Providers may block the ports that are needed for remote access.
First of all, the Time Capsule was not designed to be a NAS, and it won't work very well if you try to use it that way. That being said.......it might be possible to access the Time Capsule from a remote location over the Internet......IF.......
1) You have the Time Capsule connected to a simple modem......the kind that has only one Ethernet port.
2) You have a Static Public IP address supplied to you from your Internet Service Provider. Normally, this would mean that you have a business account with your provider.
Check to see if your network might meet these requirements and post back on that.
So the Time Capsule is not connected to a simple modem, we use a few apple airport extreme. And sadly I do not have a static IP address.
I read somewhere that it might work if i change some Port settings or so, might this way work?
