Hello Apple Community,
Our University is beginning to research new ways to update how our Student use their ID cards on our campus. To that end we are curious to explore how schools such as Duke University have collaborated with Apple to update their Student ID card system. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

To see if you can use your student ID card in Wallet, contact your school card office.
That said, if the school supports Apple Wallet, it will likely support Android too

You would have to REQUIRE ALL students to have an iPhone - not just any smartfone
There are already apps available for this - on both the Apple App store and Google Play - there MAY be one app that is on both, but I'll let you look

Hi ChitlinsCC, we are mostly thinking to offer this as one of the options available while still offering secondary NFC devices. But thank you for the feedback! We will definitely also take a look at alternative apps :)
You're not talking to Apple in these forums just other users. I'd suggest contacting Apple Corporate HQ regarding that. Their address and telephone number are listed online.
