Printer Installation

Greetings, I am a tad new at this support method but will try anyway.

I am trying to install a Canon MG3060 printer and am having much difficulty in doing so.

My OS is Catalina v 10.15.1

My iMac is iMac15,1. 8GB and is about 5 yo.

what else is required to identify the model?

I have tried a number of web sites - Apple & Canon & others that I do not have confidence in dealing with.

Can anyone tell me where I can download the correct Driver please?

Please follow Apple's instructions in https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/add-a-printer-on-mac-mh14004/mac#:~:targetText=To%20add%20your%20printer%20to,Printers%20list%2C%20then%20click%20Add.

That is the best we can provide you as you haven't advised how you have attempted to install it. DO NOT use the Canon software.

If it is an old printer and has no support you can try the Gutenberg printer drivers. If for some reason that does not work, that is Canons way of suggesting you buy a new printer. Apple does not make printer drivers, this is done by the printer manufacturers. When they completely drop support it’s best to just replace the old device.
