Does apple keep a Record of previous Devices?

Hi Guys,

I sold an iPhone 6 Plus on eBay in August.

I removed my Apple ID, Factory reset the phone, it was unlocked to any network and had never been on a contract whilst I owned it (For 4 Years)

Yesterday (3 Months from when I sold it) I get dispute opened against me on PayPal, of the buyer accusing me of Blocking / Blacklisting the phone which I haven't and now they have held my money.

I wanted to use one of those blacklist checkers but I do not have the IMEI number or Serial Number at hand. This way I could check if its actually been blocked. Does anyone know if Apple keep a record of this somewhere on my account page or does anyone know where I Can find my previous devices?

On a separate note is there any other way this phone could have got blocked?

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated

I dont believe apple keep track of anything like this once you have removed your Apple ID. If you visit appleid.apple.com you can request a copy of your data which will show if it still attached.

As for the blocking, the only thing that could be done via Apple is a iCloud Lock - but as you said you removed your ID from the phone so I don't think this would be done via Apple or your account. IMEI blocking is done by reporting your phone lost/stolen via the network, the phone will technically work (as in can setup iOS and use WiFi) but will not connect to a cellular network.

It does sound like the buyer wants a refund in all honesty. I would request for the phone to be returned as it does sound like someone who wants a refund and maybe to keep the device.

EDIT: Apple even has a article for this: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201351
