Arial Font in MS Office

I'm having a problem with fonts in my MS Office. (vers 2016) The font list is massive (too large) when I open it and I don't have a 'bog standard' Arial font, anymore!

Any suggestions as to why I'm having this problem, sudddenly?

Any ideas for a fix?

Catalina includes an Arial Unicode font. Can you live with that? Office 365, Office 2016 for Mac, and Office 2019 for Mac all install their fonts within each included application bundle. You get what Microsoft packaged.

I do not have Microsoft Word, but my guess is that it is a merge of Microsoft's packaged fonts and those installed by the operating system. If you have any fonts in your /Users/yourname/Library/Fonts folder, those will also get added to the mix. I have the same mile long font list in Pages or LIbreOffice too.
