Is there anything AppleCare does not cover

Is there any damage that AppleCare+ will not cover or repair free of charge?

I had them for 3 months, worked perfectly fine, then they didn’t connect to my phone. After going to a Apple Store, they said they could get them fixed or send a new pair free of charge. Then today, I got an email saying that Apple Care doesn’t cover that damage and I would have to pay $195 to get them fixed.

Accidental damage incidents will be subject to a service charge, but it's less than it'd be without AppleCare+. Click here and see section 4 for other restrictions.

Depends if your Apple Care+ also includes lost/stolen.

Otherwise you have 2 incidents where you pay a small fee for replacement/repair.
