Can you purchase Apple care from different vendor than when you purchase computer

iMac 27", macOS 10.15

Costco is an authorized reseller, just ensure you purchase the correct AppleCare, in other words don't buy AppleCare for an iMac if you have the MacBook Pro or vice versa.

Only if they are an Apple Authorized reseller, please read the terms in AppleCare in https://www.apple.com/legal/sales-support/applecare/appgeos.html

Costco has a considerable price lower on Apple Care, but computers are higher. However not sure they will sell only the Apple Care alone.
