Weather and Sports on Lock Screen?

I saw a website a little while back where they showed an iphone with the weather and sports scores and other stuff right on the lock screen. I believe thats what it was. Can I do this with a 3gs? I dont remember where I saw this. Or if it was real or fake. But it would be hella cool...
