Digital Audio

I have problems trying to change the Built-in digital audio frequency of my Mac Pro (mid 2012 OS Sierra 10.12.6) from 44.1 to any other of the sample rates. The computer tries to change and goes back to 44.1 . No changes allow here. Nonetheless I can make changes in all the rest of the audio devices (inputs and/or outputs). I have tried to do this without any applications running and from fresh boottup. Same result.

Anybody knows the solution of this symptom?

Thank you,

GL

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities Phaseland,

I see that you're having an issue with digital audio on your Mac. I'd be happy to provide you with some information to help.

You should have a choice of either 44.1 or 48 kHz. Take look at the following articles that can help with this question. The second article can help with set up with audio devices in Audio MIDI Setup on Mac.

Hope this helps!
