MAC compatibility with MS EXL

I have many spreadsheets created on MS Exl. I am considering changing to a MAC lap top. What software is needed on a MAC to access and manage MS Exl spreadsheets on a thumb drive?

I'm not sure what MS Exl spredsheets are but assuming you mean Microsoft Excel spreadsheets:

Microsoft Office versions 2016, 2019, and 365 all work on Macs. Office 2011 is no longer supported by Microsoft. So if my assumption is correct the spreadsheets will work on your Mac.

Alternatively you can open Excel spreadsheets with a third party app like LibreOffice.
