Swimming with the Apple Watch I’ve recently started using my Apple Watch swimming in open water, when I have finished my swim the watch doesn’t give me accurate readings at all. The distance is out and the time is way out? any ideas ?

Inaccurate Swimming tracking two weeks ago my Apple Watch 7 started counting my swimming distance as double of what they were. It was shortly after the latest update. I am consistent, so I know within 1-2 laps how far I swam. Did anyone else have this problem. I have followed apples steps to make sure all app sharing and personal data was correct. Is my Apple Watch not able to handle 4-5 hours a week of swimming?

iWatch SE accuracy How do I fix the accuracy of an open water swim? I actually swam a fast 300m but the watch recorded a distance of 420m at an average of 2.30 /100m. Is it possible to place the watch in my swim cap instead of on my wrist to increase accuracy or any other work around? I have already gone through the support suggestions regarding other solutions.

Make an independent measurement and compare them to the results shown on your watch.
