Macmail sent items

Every time I send an e-mail. it sends OK but then I get that e-mail with a blue dot staying in my Sent box.

How do I get rid of this?

iMac 21.5" 4K, macOS 10.15

Deleted emails return in MacMail Yesterday when I delete an email it immediately returns to the list. Today it comes back a little slower on the list in a colored text. I have not seen this phenomena before and I have a Verizon email address now handled by AOL. I'm on Big Sur. 11.4

MacMail - messages stay in Outbox but still send For the past week messages are staying in the Outbox. They are sending OK and show in Sent messages. I have both Outlook and Gmail accounts and it's only the messages being sent from my Gmail address which are affected. When I try and delete or move them from the Outbox to any other folder just to get rid of them they initially disappear then come back a few minutes later. Everything looks fine in my individual Outlook and Gmail on my web accounts. I've seen a post on here about "sandboxes" but unfortunately it was beyond my basic Mac comprehension!

Mac Mail Outbox For some reason my mail does not leave the Outbox. Solution?

Fixed it by rebooting in Safe Mode
