Hello. I had the same problem. What I did is: I took the AirPods out of the case, so that they run out the battery. The blue light takes energy so, eventually they will have no charge. Let them be. I waited until blue light turned off, then putted them back in the case for some time. Reconnect them with your phone. It worked for me.

Are they legitimate Apple product or did you purchase the airpods from a private seller? Im asking as I purchased from a private seller and trying to verify they are authentic. Im seeing on the internet that a blue light on the AirPod itself (not case) indicates a fake product, which is upsetting!

Exact same thing happens to me and I take the Airpod that’s glowing out of the case and let it die, which probably isn’t a good idea, but I put it back in the case to charge and it usually works after. But, the problem is reoccurring so, I’m planning to take my AirPods to the Apple store.
