Logic freezes when loading some projects

Good evening!

I have recently discovered an issue with Logic Pro X (10.4.7). For some reason it is not willing to load some of my projects, freezing on random plugins during project load. Some projects work just fine, some do not.

When I tried running Logic without VST and Core Audio everything worked fine, therefore I suspect it is a plugin issue. Is there any way to find out which specific plugin causes the crash and could there be other solutions to the problem?

Which MacOS are you using?

Are all of your plugins up-to-date?

Did you tried SHIFT-CONTROL "AU-Safe Mode" , like Pancenter pointed to?

I would de-activate all plugins then activate one after another to indentify the problem.

I am currently running MacOS 10.15.1

All plugins are up to date and officially licensed.

I tried running Logic in AU-Safe Mode, unfortunately it freezes in this case.

Thank you, I will try deactivating plugins and finding out what causes the problem.

Logic versions since Logic 8 can use these Startup Modifier keys.

Just found out an interesting detail. Even after I disabled all plugins, Logic kept freezing at the exact same point.

Yes, thank you!

As mentioned in the question, I did try loading Logic holding Option (no VST and Core Audio) and all projects worked fine. What can the next step to solve the issue be?

Uhhh! You are using Catalina...

Many plug-ins are not yet compatible to Catalina. Visit the websites of the developers.

With Logic open, go to upper left Logic Pro X menu, then to Preferences/Reset all preferences to default except key commands. You will need to reselect interface and other prefs. Worth a try.
