Getting additional iCloud storage recognized by new Mac powerbook?

I purchased extra iCloud storage which up until now, I've used on my iPad, iPhone and Windows7 PC.

Now, I use a new laptop powerbook and can't get iCloud to recognize my account.....it keeps saying I have maxed out the 5gb whereas I have purchased much more storage than that......thank you!

Hello doctorrduck.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that you have purchased additional iCloud storage. Since you’ve purchased a new laptop, your iCloud account isn’t recognized and shows that you’ve used the 5GB of iCloud storage. I’m happy to help.

Are you using the same Apple ID on each of your devices? Were you able to login with your Apple ID on your new laptop?

Please check the amount of iCloud storage you have by following the steps in the section titled “See how much iCloud storage you have” here: Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support

Take care.
