i watched couple episodes and now get message that I can’t make purchases on in app device?

i have fire box tv and fire sticks

any idea why

“You can’t subscribe or make purchases in the Apple TV app on Fire TV devices.”

You will have to do the purchasing on another device, linked to the same Apple ID, then you can watch the purchased content on your Fire TV.
