Handmedown iphone 5. Recieved from son years ago. Used, then handed down to grandkid for his use for games. Kids mom changed the owner, and passcode (not sure how). I did a factory reset. now it's stuck on needing a password because it has been registered for find my phone. That phone no longer exists. How can I reset it?

You may not find it helpful, but it is the truth.
Only the owner of the iCloud account used to lock it can remove the activation lock.
Without the password you can not get into the device.
Not very helpful. In 6 years it has gone through 4 family members. ID and password has changed more times than that. Due to a party, daughter in law changed the last password and can't remember s**t. Should have had parental blocking on it.
