fl studio

I recently installed fl studio on my MacBook Air 2019 and it caused that Mac not working smoothly as the first time I was using it, even when it's closed! It happened right after once I opened FL. Mac is not smooth. is there any solving to this?! Or I better go to apple store and change my laptop
