MacBook Pro 16", Screen goes blank But system works

I got my MacBook Pro 16" Few days ago. After about 8 hours of no use I opened it and was using safari and suddenly the screen goes blank. From Touch Bar I can still see that the system works and music was playing. So I contacted Apple support and followed their instruction to reset SMC and NVRAM to no success. They said it could be hardware problem and to visit an Authorized Service Provider.

After about 2 hours I was about to visit the service provider but before I left I opened the laptop and it worked. The screen was in perfect condition. But again after few hours the laptop was in sleep mode and I opened it and screen was blank. This time I closed the lid and opened it and it worked. Since then no problem yet. But I'm worried that this might be a problem.

Has anyone else experienced this on new MacBook Pro 16 Inch?

Im using the latest MacOS update.

You have a limited 14-days from date of purchase to return for a refund or exchange.

I would be tempted to exchange for one that works.

After 14 days if it proves to be a hardware issue, it will be a warranty repair only ie no refund, no exchange.

Are you using an external monitor?

Here's what I've found so far:

The replacement they gave me blacked out after just two hours of use (like I said).

I painstakingly got it working again by using a flashlight to see the screen even without the LED backlight working.

I've now been using it for 24 hours (without an external display) and without issue and have put it to sleep many times to test it out.

I'm wondering if it was a conflict between the MacBook and my monitor. I'll continue using the heck out of it and will report back if something happens.

YES this happened to me after 2 weeks with my brand new MacBook Pro 16”.

35 minutes on the phone with support couldn’t fix it.

I brought it in to the Genius Bar and they got it working but only once.

It happened again the next day and they gave me a new one.

Now, after just 2 hours on the new new one it happened again!

The issue is not screen brightness. When it happened I increased the brightness and screen glows brighter but it's blank (black). I have turned off Dynamic wallpaper and Automatic graphics switching. Since then it's all good.

But to check what the problem is, I have turned on the Automatic graphics switching today and kept Dynamic Wallpaper off. Now gonna wait for a day or two and will update here.
