The Apple trade-in interface, on their website, does not even acknowledge the existence of the 2018 Mac Mini - except by relegating it to an "other" category which then states that the maximum trade-in value is $230. This Mac Mini cost ~ $2K less than a year ago. Why is it now only eligible for $230 trade in?

Most likely what is occurring is that Apple has not released a newer version of the Mac mini so there is no need to upgrade from a current generation Mac mini to a newer version of the Mac mini (that has yet to be released.)

$600-$700 for a stock i3
$900-$1200 for an i5 depending on the configuration
$1300-$1800 for a i7 depending on the configuration
