macOS Catalina after update unable to upload videos from camcorder or iPhone

I updated to the macOS Catalina but now when I connected via usb cord it says no photos. (but my camcorder and other iPhones) I have been trying for weeks to get video transferred to my Mac. It wasn't a problem before the update. Any help is appreciated.

Hello leonardmom,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to import videos from your iPhone or camcorder to your Mac. To help with this, please follow the relevant steps in this Apple resource and also see if the Image Capture app can import your videos:

Thank you for the reply. My iPhone downloads to my Mac without any problems. I was trying to download my daughter and it just kept saying to photos when there is both pictures and videos on it. My main issue is after I updated it will not upload my videos from the SD card from my camcorder. Is also says no photos. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!
