Search display in Music on Catalina 10.15.1

I just upgraded to Catalina and now have Music instead of iMusic. When I am in Songs and type in a song name in the search bar, it no longer displays all of the songs by that name vertically in the Songs playlist (which it used to do in iTunes and which I prefer enormously), but instead only shows the results of the search **outside** of the playlist, instead displaying in the middle of the screen in a separate viewing display. I HATE THIS. Yet when I go to the View option in the top menu bar, where is no way to change from this viewing display back to the old way. Did Apple really wreck something so simple as the search option and is now forcing us to to have this inferior display option instead?
