Unless you have an iPhone and you are set up and using iPhone Cellular Calls on the iPad, the iPad is incapable of making phone calls on its own.

An iPad alone cannot make any type of actual cell phone calls other than video calls with apps apps like FaceTime or Skype for iPad, which Skype CAN do Voice Over Internet Protocol ( VOIP ) style of cell calls.

NO iPad can make cellular phone calls all by itself.

This has never been possible, ever!

Sorry, but it is you that is incorrect.


You need the use of an iPhone and the Continuity app on another iDevice to receive and answer calls on an iPad.

An iPad alone is incapable of actually initiating a cell phone call or receiving cell phone calls.
