My $100 first generation ipen , won’t connect to my iPad Pro
That’s ridiculous , is there a work around? I paid $100 for that pen

That depends on why it won't connect.
As MichelPM points out, what generation of Apple Pencil(not pen) did you buy and what generation of iPad Pro do you have?
