Error: "no trackpad detected"

Does anyone know why my MacBook pro is showing this error? it can't find the built in trackpad.

The rest of the error is "looking for a wireless mouse or trackpad. If one is found it will be connected to your computer. Check your cables if you expect to use a USB mouse. If you don't want to set up a mouse or trackpad press command-Q to quite"

The mouse freezes up, and the only way to unfreeze it is by restarting the computer, then it happens again after a few hours of use. Then the tool bar quit, in addition to the backlighting on the key board. The hardware (toolbar, trackpad, wifi cable, and logic board) were replaced by apple last week. But this message is still showing up. I don't know if this is the OS or not, but the computer is only a year old.

Thanks!

Hello

Yes, all these steps have been done a number of times before the laptop was sent out for repair, when I called apple support (where all the parts were replaced as mentioned above)

The bluetooth only seemed to be having issues with the trackpad. It connected to the headphones without an issue.

Any further ideas? would this be caused by software issues? When the laptop was repaired, the software was reinstalled by the repair center.

Thanks

Correct, that is what one of the apple advisors said when I took it to the apple store, the same was the feedback I got from on the phone apple support.

The laptop was sent in and the trackpad was replaced by Apple. The exact same error showed up again once I got it back.

Yesterday, I sent the laptop back to them, but one of the advisers said it 'might be a software issue'--I have no idea what to do now.
