Apple TV4K connected to Bose Surround Sound?

I just replaced my Apple TV with Apple TV4K, but the Apple TV4K unit needs to be powered on in order to watch cable. I have my DVD, Cable box and Apple TV4K all plugged into my Bose Surround Sound unit that is connected to my TV. I use Aux on the Bose unit when watching Apple TV4K; however, now when I'm watching cable I need to have the Apple TV4K powered on in order to watch cable TV. Once the Apple TV4K auto powers off I retain audio, but the picture goes to snow with a message saying it's looking for signal.

My hookup of the new Apple TV4K is identical to the legacy box I just replaced and I never had this issue with that other unit. Has anyone else experienced/resolved a similar issue?
