It is a scam.

What you need to do is Force Quit Safari and Clear Your Temporary Internet Files

To Force Quit Safari:

  1. Press: Command + Tab
  2. Select: Finder (Smiley Face)
  3. Click: The Apple Emblem on the Finder menu
  4. Click: Force Quit...
  5. Select: Safari
  6. Click: Force Quit button
  7. Click: Force Quit button

To Clear your Temporary Internet Files:

For Safety & Privacy purposes, clear your Temporary Internet Files:

Go Here: (History and Cache)

For Note:

Look at the domain, and you’ll see that there is nothing Apple about it. Look in the History part of the Finder menu bar. If it doesn’t end in apple.com, no matter what the domain, it is not Apple.

You should treat that message with the same seriousness as if your Mac told you that you had a ruptured spleen. That is, it is laughable.

No one can determine such stuff from OUTSIDE your computer such as in a Web Browser. If Apple had detected such stuff, they would have precluded its ever becoming active, not sent you a scare-ware pop-up message.

That is NOT likely to be an APPLE support phone number, do not call it.
