How do I remove Itunes from my macbook. I'm trying to allow more space for updates.

would be a mistake. iTunes is required by the system in some cases. never delete default apple programs , only delete third part programs you added or personal data such as photos, movies, videos, music. I'd suggest you save a copy beforehand to some external device.
