MacOS Software Updates

I have the MacBook Pro 2017, right now it says it is macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6. I went to the software update but it says there are no downloads waiting. But it is not on the latest update. How do I update it?

First off, I would suggest you take a look at the Catalina and Mojave forums for people who've upgraded and see what they like or don't like about the new versions. There are some big differences with Catalina (no 32-bit apps, etc) that might preclude you wanting to even contemplate it -- check to make sure all your existing apps will either work or they have updates that will.

And if you do decide to update, make sure to have a verified full backup of everything in case of problems.

If you decide to update, does the App Store Catalina install on your MacBook?

Good luck...
