How do I get my gmail.com email folders into alphabetical order

I have a macbook Pro running macOS Catalina Version 10.15.1 & use the apple app for my mail, I have several email address which are all gmail.com email address. But I cannot get each email address folder ( I have about 100 folders to each email address) to be in alphabetical order, I have even tried manually moving the folders but they just go back.
