Is there a thunderbolt that connects a usb c IPad Pro to my Imac?

I am new to the Ipad Pro that uses the USB C . My question: How can I connect the Ipad Pro to my Imac, which is several years old. Is there a thunderbolt that would work? I want to sync what's on my computer to the Ipad Pro. Thank you
