Progress Bar on boot

Hello everyone,

I just recently bought my first MacBook this week. I have a mid 2019 15in MacBook Pro.

when booting up the laptop I have a progress bar that shows up under the Apple logo.

is this completely normal? It seems that on older model Macs this means there is an issue, does that still hold true, or am I fine with no issues?
