two phones on 1 iCloud account

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that you're using the same Apple ID for more than one iPhone, and you'd like to stop sharing the account. I would be happy to help provide steps to do so.

When you sign out of iCloud on one of the devices, it's important to note that certain content that's currently synced to that iPhone from iCloud could be removed:

If you're wanting to transfer any of the iCloud content currently on the iPhone to the new Apple ID that will be used, be sure to follow the steps under the Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud link towards the top of that page.

When you're ready, you'll want to sign out of the Apple ID on the iPhone that will no longer share the iCloud account from Settings > [your name]. Create and sign in to the new Apple ID that will be used for iCloud on this iPhone going forward, then turn iCloud apps on. Any content that was saved to the iPhone, such as photos and videos, will then upload to iCloud on the new account:

Last, there are certain types of content such as purchase history that cannot be transferred from one Apple ID to another. In that scenario, Family Sharing is an option to consider if you'd like to continue sharing content from the old Apple ID:
